Integrated Media Wins Eight Blue Chip Awards

Blue Chip Awards

Students of Mason High School take time out of their personal life to devote more energy into their love of media production. The Blue Chip Awards is an annual award show that Integrated Media participates in. It is a semi-formal award show held at the Redmoor Theater giving these students the opportunity for feedback and praise on their hard work.

The Integrated Media team entered 11 videos into The Blue Chip Awards. The team came home with a record breaking 8 awards. The Sports Radio team won two awards for their live stream at the fall football games last season. This dedicated team is a group of students who work with ICRC TV, live streaming and commentating during the games. Comet TV took home awards for the 2017-18 Comet TV trailer, MHS ESPYS intro, Mason XC a year in review and Hype Round 2 Video, highlighting the upcoming productions at the beginning of the year and what the year has accomplished. Community activity coverage including, The Maya Strong Game, honoring Maya Collins’ heroic fight against cancer while reminding us about acts of kindness. Mason’s Say Something video was awarded as well. This touching video reminds us to always say something if we see someone who is down, bringing awareness to suicide prevention.
