Where do you want to go to College? Chances are you want to go to University of Cincinnati, The Ohio State University, or Miami University. Last year 39% of Seniors went to one of these schools. The 39% consisted of 20% of students going to UC, 11.4% to Ohio State and 7.2% to Miami.

MHS Journalism Students Win J-Day Awards
Mason High School journalism students recently found themselves making the news, rather than reporting it! During Ball State University's annual Journalism Day on April 25, MHS students, taught by Dale Conner, were recognized for their work this year. The trip was sponsored by a grant from the Mason Schools Foundation.
Mason High School is celebrating the achievement of 17 students who were recognized by the National Merit Scholar Competition for 2014.
Strategic skills abound for Mason Intermediate’s Arvind Prasad. The fifth grader tied for first place at Ohio Chess Congress, a state championship event held in Hudson, OH over Labor Day weekend. Arvind finished the U1700 section with a score of 5.0 out of 6.0 and won a cash award of $495. His opponents included both adults and scholastic chess players.
“I have a strong passion for chess and love to play in adult tournaments,” said Arvind.
Mason High School senior Maggie Etherington was recognized as The Kiwanis Club of Mason's March Student of the Month. Etherington was nominated by Chip Dobson, government teacher, and Adam Toohey, math teacher.
